MANUAL FOR AN EFFECTIVE NURSING RESUME

CREATING THE CURRICULUM VITAE FOR NURSING

Must never forget that both the letter and the curriculum, are the only means of representation that you will have at the moment, and it is on these, on which to broadcast the trial. Only in this trial if favorable, will be scheduled for the interview and then have to personally demonstrate the expectations it has created.

So when you sit down to write a resume should be focused on the best of you reflect on it.

We provide some practical rules that will be helpful.

SIX GOLDEN RULES OF A GOOD RESUME

1 .- A good resume is written in a page, in a two

Some tips:

* Do not use two words I can say in one.
For example: DO NOT write “My role as Head of Maintenance is …” PRINT “Chief of Maintenance. Features :…” The words “my role” and“how” do not contribute anything.
* Do not write sentences that do not add anything unnecessary.
For example: DO NOT write: “When I arrived there was a preventive maintenance plan should address the development and deployment.” TYPE: “Development and implementation of preventive maintenance plan.” 17 vs 8 words to express the same.
* Avoid “lines” and redundant.
“I want to inform you that …”,
* Express one idea per sentence.
* Use:
- Short words
- Short phrases
- Short paragraphs

This will save you 30% of their problems of written communication.

2 .- SHOW YOU THE CURRICULUM MEET THE DEMANDS OF THE JOB

Just as no two people are alike, no two businesses are alike, and at least two jobs alike.

Although companies are in the same sector have the same size, and suppose to have the same corporate culture, there’s a lot of things that differentiate and among the most important is the people who compose them are different.

Therefore, if so, your resume should reflect the differences, should place greater emphasis on those characteristics, both personal and professional possessing, making it particularly suitable for the position.

3 .- THE CURRICULUM WILL ALWAYS BE RETURNED IN ORIGINAL

Forget photocopies. You should print an original for each request. Remember that the curriculum is, by far, the only mirror the coach has of you, for this, watch a lot of image and presentation.

Tips:

* Always send an original photo. The color copies are now very successful, but are not recommended. It is preferable not to include it unless you expressly request, if it can not be original and fresh.
* The paper type can be optional, but that if you choose a consistent role. (Usually A4). The color does not have to be white. You can choose yellow, blue, always very discreet tones. Avoid exaggerations.
* Take care of not only the presentation, but the design of it. Remember that an original Curriculum can tell us much of the creativity of the person, and this aspect is now valued at all positions.

4 .- A good resume should be well structured

Each figure should be perfectly located in the curriculum must be in the section that corresponds to be easily reachable, that interpretation is easy and leaves no room for any doubt you are the right candidate.

Typically a Curriculum paragraphs follow the order:

PERSONAL DATA:

- First and last name.
- Address: Street, number, floor, city and postal district.
- Telephone.
- E-mail address.
- E-mail (if available).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Remember:

NAME OF THE COMPANY.
DATES OF STAY.
SECTOR
NAME OF THE POST.
FUNCTIONS.

With respect to reflect your professional history can use a straight chronological order, from the first company to last, or reverse chronological order, from last to first, depend on the experience that interests you highlight.

EDUCATION

We refer to official studies.
You should only reflect the higher range.
The sequence is:
TITLE. CENTER. CITY. DATES AND PURPOSE.

EXTRA CURRICULAR TRAINING

Reflects those courses that have special relevance to the job for which you are interested, or who have a recognized authority, or are long lasting. Do not forget to indicate hours: 100h. …

You can add participation in seminars or conferences, provided these have a direct relationship with the position applied for.

LANGUAGES

What matters are the languages we know and what degree dominates, low, medium, or high, if only the results, speak or write.

With regard to the degree of dominance, be realistic, reflecting neither more nor less than the reality.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL OR WORK.

This is where you can list all activities according to their evaluation can be useful for the position you are applying.

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION.

This section is optional. It may include information to highlight interesting, but hardly fit into the preceding paragraphs, such as:

Geographic and occupational mobility: if you accept the temporarily displaced or located in different geographical areas.

Driving License.

Possession of own vehicle, vehicle type (motorcycle, car, van, truck, etc.). If utility or sedan, and so on.

5 .- IS IT THAT DATE THE CURRICULUM

One detail that goes unnoticed to many is whether to include the date on the CV, as it provides a reference time, in the case of employment status at this time and of course can vary. This rule makes more sense especially if it is a letter, cold, unresponsive to a specific offer.

Another thing we recommend is that he never signed the curriculum, as his signature is already included in the cover letter attached. Only in case of delivering the curriculum in hand and no letter, you can choose to sign it.

6 .- HIGHLIGHT ITS QUALITIES, BUT NEVER LIE

REMEMBER TO BE A GOOD CURRICULUM:

· Clear, specific and concise, the minimum size and maximum should be 1 or 2 pages.
· Facilitates reading all I can.
· Typed on a computer, no errors or corrections
· Space with wide margins
· Remarque headlines and most important or interesting
· Take care all the details (abbreviations, dates, etc.)

FAQ on Nurse – Prescribing
1. What is nurse prescribing? From the General Nursing Council is seen as the act of taking prescription decisions about a drug or medical device. The “prescription” goes far beyond merely filling a prescription. Prescribing is the act of deciding in all that pertains to a particular treatment, including involving drugs and dosage. Anyone who knows what health care is being provided in hospitals and health centers and socio-labor consultations, knows that nurses are deciding about medicines in their daily work. Just having spent as a patient or family by any of these health centers to reliably recognize that the profession nurse and prescribed daily, either independently or in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
2. Why from nursing now talking about legalizing prescription nurse?
For since the adoption in July 2006 the Law of Guarantees and Rational Use of Drug-and popularly known as the “Medicines” – the profession nurse illegalities being committed daily in thousands of health care that being provided to their patients.
Article 77.1 of the Medicines Act has the only professionals who can prescribed medications are doctor and dentist. This has meant that 240,000 health professionals practicing throughout the country and make it possible for the Spanish health work, see how many of the clinical interventions that are held daily went from being in the limbo of “lawlessness” to be clearly illegal actions that in the event of termination, could qualify as crimes of professional and non-intrusiveness be covered by liability insurance. This situation occurred in the Medicines Act repealed by the current because provided this limitation of the exclusive prescription doctors and dentists, so the cases in which nurses prescribed to July 2006 were in a position lawlessness, condition very different to the current illegality and possible terrible what consequences for nurses every decision made regarding drugs.
3. What are the specific situations that have become illegal because involve decisions about drug nurses?
Concerning this aspect there is complete transparency to the aspirations of the nursing because as has been declared President of the General Council 2 Nursing “nurses do not want to be doctors, nurses want to practice medicine that is going to medical school to pursue a career. We just want to legal certainty to decisions about drugs that nurses carry out daily in hospitals and health centers. “In this regard, the General Nursing Council has met several groups of experts conclusions whose health was born the “Study on nurse prescribing Spain: List of drugs and medical devices prescribed by nurses in Spain “(see document). This paper lists and describes one by one A total of 170 nursing interventions in which nurses are taking decisions about drugs independently or complementary.
Case prescription: an example of how nurses prescribing independently is the treatment of skin lesions such as wounds, burns or pressure ulcers. In these cases, the nurse who assesses, diagnoses and decide directly what type of drug used for treatment need to get the patient’s improvement. By Meanwhile, we also illustrate the case of collaborative or nurse prescribing protocolized citing the prescription of all types of vaccines or the inpatient analgesic for pain. These are cases in which the nurse follows a previously established protocol among all multidisciplinary team, protocol that involves a decision of the nurse is the one who applies his knowledge and assess the injury or pain.
4. The solution: draft ministerial order regulating the use and / or authorization drugs by nurses and podiatrists.
Although the Medicines Act prohibits the nurse any decision autonomous with respect to a drug, a clause be an interim solution for any actions nurses have been altered by this legal rule.
This initiative would provide a solution to the legal uncertainty in which this law has plunged many nursing interventions. It is about developing the twelfth additional provision of the Act which states: “(…) To facilitate the work of health professionals, according to this Law can not prescribe medications, within a year the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs shall establish the list of drugs that can be used or, where appropriate, approved for these professionals, as well as conditions specific in that they can use and participation mechanisms with physicians in monitoring programs for certain treatments. ” The draft Ministerial Order would give legal recognition to the actions prescription involving nurses responding effectively to the legal uncertainty the law has led to the profession, and does so by a regulation that avoids all time, using the word “prescription” because it is a term partnerships
Doctors refuse to be applied in any way with the nursing profession.
5. How would “the use or authorization of drugs” by nurses established in the draft order?.
3 It is important to emphasize that the final approval of the ministerial order regulating the use and / or approval of drugs by nurses does not lead to free “authorization” nurse of any edication (even those included in the Annex III, although it contains only non-prescription drugs).
The legal text of the Ministerial Order authorizing states that any medication will be three essential steps:
1 .- The first step is a prior agreement between doctors and nurses
2 .- The second is that this consensus will materialize in the development of a protocol establish in detail the “how and when” is the description of cases concrete that can use or authorize and third.
3 .- Finally protocols used must be approved by the authorities health.
TWO CONCLUSIONS
Nurses will not be able to use or authorize a single drug (or even those listed in Annex III) unless there is (1) a consensus with the medical
(2) a protocol determined that (3) must necessarily be authorized by the competent authorities. When the condition or health problem of the citizen who reaches the nurse does not This included situations and standardized protocol agreed with the doctors, not may “use or authorize” any medication and should refer to the consultation doctor.
6. On what assumptions are introduced “the use or authorization of drugs” by of nurses in the draft order?.
The draft Ministerial Order regulating “the use or authorization of drugs” by nurses is done in the following situations:
1 º. In the framework of the principles of comprehensive health care and the continuity care:
a) In accordance with institutional protocols and joint development plans standardized care authorized by health authorities.
b) At follow-up treatments protocolized established based
an individualized prescription. 2 º. Medicinal products not subject to medical prescription established [in order] may be authorize use or application of standardized protocols for rational use in the corresponding order of dispensation. It should be noted once again that in both situations, establishes the need for consensus with the medical consensus that, furthermore, must be clearly defined and defined in a guide that provides care and treatment clinical situations concrete which will carry out these prescriptions.

What we want to achieve

We want to try to achieve a secure family with great autonomy and good knowledge of his / her children and the condition / disease that the child has or has had. Our goal is that the child / youth and family should feel welcome to us at the department 44th We want the child / youth and family, based on their circumstances, may be such a good time with us as possible and can have confidence in us as a staff

A good nursing care based on

row that we have a holistic view of child / youth and family, which means that we see the whole person. Hospital stay in the department is only part of a larger whole and we must strive to make it as good and memorable as possible.

v that we from a humanistic look all people as unique and with equal dignity despite differences and varying conditions. We respect different views of life.

v that parents assumed willing to operate their child according to his ability and with the support of our experience and knowledge, which then leads to us to help different parents and children in different ways but with the same ultimate goal.

Our ideas of good nursing care based on knowledge, experience and patience => humility.

Our mission is to save lives, cure and alleviate suffering, to contribute to quality of life despite any disability or, where unavoidable, allow a dignified death. So good health / medically fit as possible be sought.

If we can not cure, we can mitigate. And if we can not alleviate can

We comforted. And when we no longer can be comforted, we can be there ”

Stefan Einhorn

How would we work

w We shall be children’s advocates and defend their best during the hospital stay.

v We will have a professional attitude towards children and parents where the balance between closeness / commitment / distance prevails. We should also be flexible and strive to enhance our skills and experience by keeping us abreast of current research so that our actions have a good base to rest on.

v The work environment should be characterized by mutual respect and an open and honest communication. We want the environment to be imbued with a positive outlook on life and job satisfaction, which we believe will benefit patients.
